My Precious, sweet Daddy passed away on 11/29 after a massive stroke on 11/17. He was only 67 and so full of life. He really did live his life to the fullest. I miss him so very much. My heart aches so bad for him. I miss talking to him. I spoke with him daily 3-5 times a day. He was wonderful to talk to...he seemed so excited to be getting a call from me. I was thinking it is me again and he acted like it was the first time he had heard from me in forever, even though it was only hours before. There was always a smile in his voice when I called.
I miss him so much. My life is going to be very different without my Dad in it. Please pray for me.
In the midst of all of this tragedy, I have my second and last appt to be kept on the transplant list. My cardiac appts are on Thursday. My Dad's viewing is Thursday night and the funeral is Friday. I still can't believe it.
God Bless you all very much,
Ii was blessed by having my Dad for 41 years.
Tracy :)

Hi Tracy,
ReplyDeleteYour friend and classmate Paul from the Pacific Northwest again! So sorry to hear about your father--your post today really hit home for me, as my dad passed from a short, difficult bout with cancer on 11/25 last year, so I know how difficult this is for you. Even when I wasn't down in Phoenix with him, I would call all the time, and try to always come up with a new joke--he seemed to like that. I'm missing him a lot right now over the holidays, and I'm feeling your pain and loss very closely.
You have a lot to deal with in the coming weeks, but if you need an ear, please call me anytime: 503-752-4857.
I'm thinking of you, and sending good peaceful thoughts your way. Don't forget to take care of yourself, even when caring for others.
Your friend and classmate--Paul Jacobs
Tracy,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of your loss. I had text Christie about his condition earlier, but didn't know he had finally passed. He seemed like he was a wonderful father. I remember how happy he was to take you out to lunch the last time I saw him. I know he will be missed by many and his life in this world added a greater good for all who knew him. I pray for your comfort and peace as you deal with his loss and the strenght to forge ahead. Thinking of you, Mary
